This year instead of sending physical cards, we have made a donation to the Priscilla Bacon Hospice. We hope to raise £10,000 for them in the next year as a ‘platinum charity partner’, to help them build the new Priscilla Bacon Lodge, and would love your support in our endeavours!

Celebrating Wins and Goals for the New Year

We asked some of the NM Finance Team to reflect on their year and share their personal triumphs and plans – in and out of the office!

Growth and Giving Max Mace – Managing Director

I have completed my 20th year with NM Finance and feel very proud of where the team and I have taken the business in that time and the growth we have seen. I am looking forward to 2023 and although there is uncertainty in the market I believe there will be huge opportunity to grow the commercial side of our business, and I look forward to growing long lasting relationships with more developers early in the New Year.

I am also very excited about our charity partner Priscilla Bacon for the year ahead and looking forward to buying a bike in readiness for our epic fundraising bike ride in May 2023!

Mans Best Friend Neil Denman – Senior Mortgage Adviser

The best thing about 2022 was being able to help so many new clients, for 2023 I am learning to play the piano and getting a dog (chow chow)!

Wedding Joy Bev Turnell – Mortgage Adviser

My highlight of the year was our son getting married. It’s an extremely proud memory that will last a lifetime, to see our eldest son marry his lovely partner of 10 years and our youngest son acting as Best Man. We were joined by special friends and family and the sun shone all day.

Caring for clients, charity and kids football! Steve Jackson – Insurance & Compliance Director

It’s been another great year helping more clients to protect themselves and their mortgage in the event of unforeseen ill health. Although it can be an emotionally challenging time, it’s a pleasure to assist clients through the claims process to receive the funds that they so valuably need. On a personal note, it has been great coaching my son’s U8 football team and seeing them grow as players and as a team.

I’m looking forward to arranging a number of events to raise money for our new charity partner, Priscilla Bacon and I am looking forward to challenging myself and the team to raise as much money as possible for such a wonderful cause…

A Decade in Mortgages Adam Manning – Mortgage Processor

In 2022 I celebrated 10 years in the mortgage Industry, in 2023 I look forward to finding ways to fundraise for our charitable partner, Priscilla Bacon Hospice.

Weddings, Vegas and Equity Release Gregg Baker – Senior Mortgage Adviser

In 2022 I got married and went on honeymoon which was a trip of a lifetime. The highlight was flying to the Grand Canyon in a helicopter in Las Vegas! At work, I completed my first equity release case in 2022, since obtaining my equity release qualification.

In 2023 I hope to start a family with my wife Harriet. I am making the most of sleeping up until this point. Professionally, my goals are to build a stronger relationship with my referral partners, and grow my contact book of estate agents, architects and property developers.

Getting Systems (and Body) in Shape Mat Foulkes – Operations Director

I have spent 2022 enhancing and improving our internal and external software and processes, ensuring that our customers and staff receive the best service possible. After spending the last few years focussing my spare time on my children and house renovation, in 2023 I’d like to get back to peak fitness.

Sailing and Running Rebecca Thomas – Protection/Insurance Adviser

My highlight for 2022? learning to sail in Greece – a great new experience which was really enjoyable – probably because the sea was calm and it was 30 degrees! My goal for 2023 is to improve my fitness so plan to start running and complete a 5K run!

Big Plans for the Garden Jim Walker – Mortgage Processor

After a short break away I’m delighted to be back at NM Finance, working with the team and helping our clients. For 2023, at my new home, I’m going to get French windows put in, a patio laid and going to become the Badersfield equivalent of Alan Titchmarsh and really turn my ‘lawn’ into a proper garden!
