What a brilliant day we had on 3rd September at Barnham Broom Golf Club for the NM Finance Charity Golf Day 2026! Scroll on down for all the photographs of the day.
The weather played fair, pleasantly mild after the weeks of heat we'd had and 19 teams joined our NM Finance lineup for a day filled with friendly competition, great food, and brilliant company, all in support of our incredible cause: Little Lifts.
The Total So Far
The final total raised on the day is still being counted, and we will update this post as soon as it is confirmed. What we can tell you is that between team entries, the raffle and a very memorable surprise on the night (more on that below), it has been another fantastic year for Little Lifts.
Little Lifts is a Norwich based charity providing free gift boxes to breast cancer patients undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy boxes packed with comfort items to help make a difficult time that little bit easier. Founded by Oa Hackett, the charity has now gifted more than 42,500 boxes and receives around 170 box applications a week, working with 10 hospital partnerships across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. Every pound raised on the golf course goes directly towards getting more boxes into more hands.

A Surprise on the Night
If the golf itself was not enough, the evening brought a moment nobody saw coming. Ben from the NM Finance team decided to shave his head, live in front of the whole room after the golf dinner, as a surprise for everyone in attendance. Guests could pledge money for the chance to have a go on the razor themselves, and by the end of the night Ben's bravery (and baldness) had raised over £1,200 for Little Lifts, NM Finance will match that to bring Ben's total to £2,400.
It takes a certain kind of nerve to volunteer your own head for a good cause, and the room's reaction said it all. Thank you, Ben, for making the evening one to remember.
