This notice is being provided to you because we are just about to collect personal data from you. It is issued by New Mortgage Finance Limited, trading as NM Finance. It explains how we use your personal data.

Who is collecting your personal information

Why we collect your personal information

We collect personal information provided by you to enable us to create a contract with you which we then fulfil in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and our Data Protection Policy. We also need to collect your personal information to meet the legal & compliance obligations placed upon us.

Your information may also be used for other specific purposes but only after you have given your consent, for example, to receive newsletters.

Automated decision

When obtaining a Decision in Principle (DIP), also referred to as an Agreement in Principle (AIP), we submit your information via the Lender’s online automated decision-making process. We do not use any in-house automated processing mechanisms.

Who we may share your information with

We share your personal data with the appropriate:

Credit reference agencies;

We will never sell or share your information with marketing companies.

Security of your personal information

We take all reasonable technical and procedural precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. All business data is stored off-site on a server at a secure location and managed by a trusted third-party contractor. NM Finance Ltd do not operate internationally; our business services are limited to the United Kingdom.

Retention of your personal information

We will retain your information for as long as it is needed to provide you with our services and manage our relationship and also to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. In practice this could be throughout your lifetime, but this does not prejudice your right to request that your personal data is no longer processed by us (The Right to Object).

Your Rights

The GDPR extends your rights in respect of your personal data. It should be noted that these are qualified in so much that they do not necessarily apply in all situations. The ‘rights’ are listed below.

Exercising your rights and access to your personal information

If you wish to exercise your right to access to your personal data, please contact the Data Privacy Manager. We will then contact you to check your identity and may request documents to prove it. Your options if you have a complaint

If you do have cause for concern or a complaint regarding the way we are handling your personal data, we ask that you contact us in the first instance. This way we can resolve any issues at the earliest opportunity.

If you are still unhappy, or you do not wish to contact first you are, in any event, entitled to complain to the ICO. You may also seek judicial remedies against us or any of the third parties we interact with on your behalf, for damages (both material and non-material) arising from breaches of the GDPR. Raising money throughout the year for Priscilla Bacon Hospice

We are delighted to announce that for the whole of 2023, we will be organising and taking part in a range of activities to raise money for the Priscilla Bacon Hospice in Norfolk. They do wonderful work in our local community, and we hope to raise £10,000 for them in the next year as a ‘platinum charity partner’. We would love your support in our endeavours!

About Priscilla Bacon Hospice

Priscilla Bacon Hospice is raising money to fund the new hospice being built for Norfolk and Waveney. They have raised over £11m of their £12.5m target and they broke ground on the new site in February 2022. The new hospice will boast the most modern facilities and a wider range of services giving people with terminal or life-limiting illness a greater choice of care.

Some words from our founder Des Mace:-

“I cannot speak more highly of the fantastic care provided by the Priscilla Bacon Hospice . My good friend Stephen spent 3 weeks in the hospice soon after being diagnosed with a malignant inoperable brain tumour. Prior to admission he had lost weight, was virtually immobile and was unable to communicate.

I visited him on the day after his arrival at Priscilla Bacon Hospice, which was also the day before I was flying out of the country for 2 weeks. This visit was so distressing. Stephen was unable to speak to me and was not able to function in any way. I honestly thought that this was going to be my last farewell to a much-loved friend.

Imagine my surprise upon returning to Priscilla Bacon, having learnt that Stephen was responding to treatment, to be greeted by him wearing shorts and trainers, running about the ward and suggesting that perhaps we should pop out for a beer!

Stephen had further treatment but his quality of life after staying at Priscilla Bacon was little short of miraculous. He was granted many more months as a result of this astounding care and was able to spend quality time with friends and family. Praise must go to staff and for the care so generously given to Stephen, both at the onset of his illness and again at the end of his life.

My sincere thanks to everyone at Priscilla Bacon Hospice. A truly wonderful organisation.”

Dec ‘22- Christmas E-Cards

Rather than sending out physical Christmas cards this year, we are sending out e-cards and donating the money saved to PB Hospice.

Dec ‘22- Built with Love Campaign

Instead of exchanging Secret Santa presents in the office this year we are all getting involved in this campaign. Donating £10 each and writing a message for a loved one which with be built into the foundations of the new hospice.

May ‘23- Wales to Wells-next-the-sea Cycle Challenge

Steve Jackson and Max Mace will be embarking on a 250 mile cycle challenge from Cadair Idris mountain in Wales to Wells-next-the-sea in memory of James Henry, Steve’s friend who passed away in 2022 with terminal cancer. These were James’ favourite two places in the world and Steve will be riding James’ bike in his memory.
